The beginning to the end

We've gotten our fill of the big cities and are now ready to head back out to less developed areas. We're slowly making our way to Xinjiang province, where the infamous silk road lies. Luckily, the beginning of the silk road starts here in Xian so we can pretend we were the brave explorers and trades people of the past making our way out west to see what lies out there.

If you go to Dunhuang, there are a few cafes... I left some messages about my tour leader there in a book ... see if you can find it... :) It's not the John's Cafe... it's a couple of shops beside it. Lots' of travellers go there... and they have guestbooks for you to write. Have fun!

sorry... don't remember at all... it's along the main street when Charlie Johns Cafe and Fei Tian Hotel Johns Cafe... I think it's near the internet cafe nearby too. It's a small shop that have lots of travel journals for you to read... they serve western food too... I remember having rice with tomato and egg... and you can get coffee and breakfast from there... hope it narrows down a bit.

We found it! It was in Charlie Johngs! There are a couple more cafes open now on the other side of the road... but Charlie was the one who set up the camel/camp outing for us. Very nice guy! We left our thoughts in one of their books as well. :) And... we had our 2nd coffee in 3 months there!
